I'm just joining this group. I've been sewing for many years, and dress our family and entire church drama team for TRF every year. I'm a semi-professional costumer, love history and replicating authentic garments. I'll looking forward to getting acquainted w/ everyone on here, and maybe meeting some of you at TRF this fall!

I'd be a fairly good hobbit actually, I'm very short!! I like the characters of Arwen and Eowyn the best though, for female characters that is!! Given they're really the only ones portrayed, then it's not too hard to like them.

I hope it all turns out fabulously!! I've finished most of my sewing for this season. I am making little purses now for the different outfits, but that's about it. Good luck with all your sewing... I hope it turns out exactly as you picture it in your mind!

Oh, that sounds awesome!!! Renacting paintings and everything!!! Just fabulous! Renaissance paintings are very beautiful... there are many done in Venice and italy which have religious themes, of course.

Let me know if you all come up with something this year and I'll make sure to look for you!!

I go to Clear Creek Community Church in league city. It's an awesome church! I sing there and I also lead a women's bible study. I'm actually singing tongiht for wednesday church. I went to First Eve Free in Austin when I lived there.

Miming at fair would be great!!! I bet they had lots of religious miming back in the renaissance era!!! In fact, religion and faith played a much larger role in the lives and government of that era than it does today for certain!!

Hope to see you at fair,
    Red
